A Common Front for Rights Defense
Unexpected circumstances sometimes create the best opportunities for substantive discussion. What was originally planned as an Instagram Live on the channel of the Natitaliani Association—an organization of which I, my colleague Flavia Di Pilla, and colleague Marco Mellone are members, founded specifically to protect the rights of Italian descendants that have recently been challenged—turned into a Google Meet session due to sudden technical issues.
As an Association member, I was glad to host the meeting so that the interview could proceed. This change of plans gave me the opportunity to participate directly in an engaging and timely discussion, given the serious challenges faced by citizenship practitioners in safeguarding our clients’ rights.
In this interview conducted by colleague Di Pilla, attorney Mellone and I analyzed the legal landscape for 2026. These are not isolated perspectives, but rather a collective evaluation by legal professionals dealing with these matters on a daily basis.
